Whether work takes you out of town or keeps you at the office late. Or, you finally have the opportunity to take that long-overdue vacation or even a simple weekend getaway, we are here to help. We are happy to care for animals of all kinds and sizes, including reptiles, birds, farm animals, dogs, cats, and much more.
Caring for your pets in your Birmingham area or Huntsville area home is our primary mission. With your help, we will identify what is required during each visit to ensure your furry, feathered or scaly family members are eating, exercising, and getting plenty of love while you are away.
Pet sits are time-based, and we offer an array of options to choose from. We offer special discounts for clients who use us on a frequent, ongoing basis. Contact us to see if you qualify!
If your pet requires special care, such as pill administration, injections, special physical provisions, or even reinforcement on current training activities, it’s included in the price.
Typical pet sits include potty break and clean-up, walk and/or playtime, feeding, water refreshment, relaxation, and plenty of affection!
Also included in our pet sitting prices are our standard home guardianship services, including:​​

The following is a list of our standard pet sitting rates based on the descriptions provided. Custom plans and pricing can be provided based on your specific needs. We also provide 90-minute and extend-care options of two hours or more (depending on availability). Don't hesitate to ask us for a customized price quote!
Companionship Frequent Flier Sit
1 Hour

Traditional Pet Sit

Pet sitting visits for those who need care of their pets while away on vacation or business. 40-minute visit including potty break, walk, relaxation and play time, feeding, medication administration, pet clean up, mail collection, plant/lawn watering, light changing, and temperature control.
Traditional Frequent Flier Sit

Express Pet Sit*

*CANNOT be used for traveling clients with indoor-only dog(s) without a doggy door - a minimum of 30 minutes per visit is required for those circumstances.

Overnight Pet Sit
*Available on a limited, first-come first-serve basis*

Do you want a special caregiver to watch over your pets and home overnight? This service includes a 13-hour stay, overnight, to care for your pets and home while you are away. Visits typically begin in the evening (around 6pm) and end in the morning (typically no earlier than 7am) and consist of a substantial and uninterrupted amount of time spent at your home. This includes all of the amenities including potty break, walk, relaxation and play time, feeding, pet clean up and home guardianship services.
Cancellations & Short-Notice Requests
We pride ourselves in being flexible in accommodating your needs if they change. We normally will not charge any fee for cancellations or schedule changes. However, if cancellations and modifications become a frequent occurrence, we reserve the right to charge full fee for services requested. Also, if a Red Dog staffer is en route to your home at the time you cancel, you will be required to pay the full fee for service to fairly compensate the staffer for their time and commitment.
